Collective Site

This is a map of streets scale, representing the implemented new model of backyarding within existing tight fabric. As opposed to the “ideal” plan, this depicts the geometrical adaptation necessary in order to fit through the cracks of available space. The backyard shacks are still physically attached to the septic system, however their position differs as a reaction to their existing neighbors. But more importantly, the installed system, which was already introduced to accommodate more than a single plot, begins to grow towards the existing shacks and connect them to the system. And so the partially owned backyards become a semi cooperative backyarding.
