In this scenario, the conversion from electrical power generation from coal is deliberate but not quick, resulting in roughly half of the site being mined.
        Similar to the “If: Coal Persists” scenario, mining operations open up vast tracts of land area for new energy production while it is mined for coal. The primary difference, however, is that the entire site is not needed for its underground coal - this un-mined area can be used for other purposes: used for agricultural farming, on-grade solar farming, future expansion of Witbank’s borders, or left undisturbed.
